This work is ultimately a portrayal of tension cultivated through process, materials, and language.
A display of multiple modes of restraint dictated by automatic asemic writing, simultaneously functioning as a release of energies. Created experimentally as a chastise of excessive tendencies and a compromise of moderation and intuitive reproductions, the work itself physically undergoes a similar level of resistance, resulting in a seductive sublimation.
This work was shown in the Undergraduate Exhibition at SAIC Galleries in April of 2023.
